1. Obligations of Get My Tuktuk
1.1 Vehicle Condition and Compliance
- The vehicle is legally registered, fully insured, well-maintained, and in roadworthy condition.
- Provided with at least 4 liters of fuel at handover.
1.2 Delivery and Handover
- The vehicle is delivered 30 minutes before the scheduled rental start.
- The exact booked vehicle category must be provided. All keys and accessories will be handed over.
1.3 Notification of Issues
Any inability to meet these conditions must be communicated to the renter at least 48 hours before the scheduled rental start.
1.4 Assistance During Rental
- Provide dedicated support for all vehicle-related queries or technical issues.
- Assist with any insurance claims or incident management on the island.
2. Renter – Terms and Obligations
2.1 Authorized Use
- Only the registered renter or explicitly authorized drivers are allowed to operate the vehicle.
- The renter remains fully responsible for all actions, negligence, or damages caused by any authorized driver.
2.2 Renter’s Obligations
- Maintain essential fluids (such as oil and brake fluid) during the rental period.
- Do not use the vehicle for any illegal activities, racing, speed trials, or competitions.
- Do not exceed passenger capacity limit specified for the vehicle category.
- Do not operate the vehicle under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or impairing medications.
- Do not use the vehicle if it is damaged, showing warning lights, or is otherwise unsafe.
- Report accidents or collisions immediately before continuing any use.
- Replace or reimburse for lost/stolen accessories or components.
- Return the vehicle clean (an additional cleaning fee applies otherwise).
- Pay all traffic fines, parking fees, highway tolls, and administrative charges.
2.3 Mechanical Fault Repairs
- The provider covers standard repairs for inherent mechanical faults.
- Repair costs apply to the renter if faults are due to misuse, neglect, or breach of terms.
2.4 Repairs by Renter
- Any repairs by the renter require prior written authorization from the provider.
- Valid receipts must be submitted to claim standard rate reimbursement.
2.5 Return Conditions
- Return at the agreed place, date, and time.
- Vehicle must be in the same condition (fair wear and tear accepted).
- Fuel level must match what was provided at handover.
2.6 Late or Incorrect Return
- Incorrect location: $2/km one-way relocation recovery fee.
- Late return: additional rental charges per extra hours or days.
2.7 Early Drop-Off
- If notified 3+ days in advance: charged 2 days’ rental, and the remaining balance is refunded.
- If less than 3 days’ notice: the provider may charge the full remaining rental balance.
2.8 Failure to Return
- If the renter does not return the vehicle on time:
- The provider reserves the right to report it as stolen to local authorities.
- The renter must pay all ongoing rental charges plus recovery and legal costs.
3. Payments and Fees
3.1 General Provisions
- Rental rates are agreed at booking and displayed in USD.
- All payments are securely processed through our secure gateway on behalf of the provider.
- Renter must pay all charges (including taxes, late fees) with a valid credit/debit card.
- Payments are non-refundable once services have been used.
3.2 At Start of Rental
- Renter must pay via the Platform:
- Full rental charges.
- Any extras or local licensing endorsement fees.
- The required security deposit.
3.3 At End of Rental
- Renter must pay:
- Extra or excess rental charges.
- Third-party fees incurred (e.g., traffic fines, tolls).
- Replacement cost for lost or stolen accessories.
- A detailed breakdown of all post-rental charges will be provided.
3.4 Authorization for Charges
The renter explicitly authorizes the platform to charge all applicable amounts to their stored payment method.
3.5 Debit Card Payments
Refunds of held authorization amounts may take 7–10 business days depending on the bank.
3.6 Refunds
Any verified refunds will be processed within 7 business days.

In the event of an accident, collision, or technical issue, the renter/driver must:
- Report incidents to police immediately (if required by local law).
- Notify Get My Tuktuk support team in writing as soon as safely possible.
- Avoid making payments, settlements, or admissions without provider consent.
- Allow the provider or insurer to handle legal claims on the renter’s behalf.
- Cooperate fully in insurance claims, including providing statements, attending meetings, or appearing in court if necessary.
